2015-16 Meeting #1 08/26/15

We were so excited to meet some of our new Daisies and Brownies and to see many of our girls from last year. Welcome back!

Daisies enjoyed a scavenger hunt and got to plant special seeds and take them home.

After the Brownies designed and carved their own stampers from erasers, they used clues to find the troop letterbox. They could stamp the troop letterbox with their homemade stamps to show they had "been there."

Several girls sounded interested in the idea of geocaching. If they want to pursue this, check out a local pediatricians' site
http://www.cardinalpediatrics.com/  You can trade a token you find at their spots for a toy at the office!

Meeting #19: 05/20/15 Awards and Bridging Ceremony

The girls were excited for today's meeting.  The Daisies worked on the "bridge" that they would walk across during the bridging ceremony. They drew pictures and jotted down a few words with their name to indicate their favorite part of being Daisies.  The Brownies shared their favorite moments of being Brownies this year to give the Daisies an idea of the activities they may look forward to next year.

For a snack, the Brownies skewered fruits in a rainbow of colors in honor of the Daisies that would be bridging to Brownies then completed their "Give Back" badge making a gift for their favorite bus driver!  We had just enough time for a quick lesson in static electricity . . . you'll notice a little static-y hair!

Enjoy the pictures of the Daisies walking across their bridge as they receive their bridging patch and many others.  All of the Brownies gave high fives to welcome the Daisy girls to Brownies and then walked across the bridge themselves to receive the patches and awards they earned this year.  What a special girl-led event!
