12/13/15: Caroling at the Village at Heritage Point

Caroling was a heart warming experience and this was the first time for many of the parents and girls! We had a great turn out from our troop and were joined by members of another Eastwood troop along with a neighbor friend.

We sang for over 30 minutes and the residents of The Village at Heritage Point were incredibly appreciative! Everyone had glowing compliments as I walked around and thanked them for their attention. Many commented that our girls were so well behaved. Many commented that seeing the young children and toddlers made them happy. One woman said, "Not only were they well behaved, they can carry a tune!"

I think seeing our young girls sent many residents down memory lane to when they were younger parents.
The girls were treated to punch and cookies and a lot of smiles afterward. Thanks, girls, for putting such smiles on the faces of our older friends. Thanks, parents and volunteers for supporting our troop and encouraging your Daisy or Brownie to do good deeds!

Karen from another Eastwood troop even arranged a treat following caroling.  A staff member at Books A Million read us Polar Express while the girls enjoyed hot cocoa and cookies.
